Sage, a 12-year-old blind Labrador, went missing from her home last week in Boulder Creek, California. The Cole family, Sage owners, were very upset when they realized Sage was gone and asked for help in finding her. Friends, neighbors, and the family searched for Sage, put up flyers, and posted on social media to find her. The even put up a $1000 reward. Luckily for Sage and the Cole family their next door neighbor, Dan Estrada, decided to take his own dogs on a hike near his house. Dan ended up spotting Sage next to a stream at the base of a steep slope during his hike. Sage was too weak to walk so Dan carried her out of the woods and back to the Cole family. Sage has recovered from the ordeal and is doing well. As far as the $1000 reward, Dan refused to take it and asked the money to be donated to an animal rescue organization.
