Indiana University Police Officer John O’Rourke was in Sanford, Florida on March 28 for his wedding. But before the nuptials, he stopped by the “Donuts to Go” for some sweet treats. And it’s a really good thing he did!
As he got in line, O’Rourke saw a crowd around an unconscious three-year-old girl who’d just had a seizure. So he rushed over and started performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions on the little girl as he had someone else call 911. Thankfully, she regained consciousness as paramedics showed up.
Once she was safe and in the care of medical professionals, the staff at the bakery rewarded their hero with a free box of doughnuts. And now O’Rourke will never forget his wedding day!
