If you hate crowded airports you’re gonna way to avoid Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport as much as you can. That’s because for the 19th consecutive year the A-T-L’s airport has been named the World’s Busiest Airport.
Just how busy is Hartsfield-Jackson? Well, after becoming the first airport to break the threshold of 100 million passengers in 2015, they hit it once again last year and then some. In 2016 the airport processed 104.2 million fliers, up 2.6% from the previous year. The airport was also busiest in “aircraft movements,” meaning they had the most takeoffs and landings last year.
