When Alison Ferrell said “I do” at her recent wedding, she had a one-of-a-kind “something blue” - her uncle, 92-year-old World War II and Korean War veteran Bill Lee Eblen. He came down the aisle wearing a sign that read, “I’m her something blue” and wearing his Marine Corps uniform, complete with blue pants.
“It meant everything to me that he was there as my something blue,” the bride says. “I come from a family where we have great respect and admiration for those in the armed services, so having him there in his blues was perfect.”
Uncle Bill says it was “so special” to be a part of his niece's special day. And he’s already planning to hang up the photos of him in the wedding.
