Dealing with a hurricane and having to flee your home can be very unsettling and upsetting. So when Deputy James Froelich was working at a shelter in Osceola County, Florida for Hurricane Irma evacuees and saw a distraught elderly woman, he was willing to do what it took to make her happy.
Froelich asked the woman what would put a smile on her face and she told said, “How about a dance?” So the deputy showed off his best moves for her, dancing and singing to “Somewhere Beyond the Sea.”
“I felt great; I was able to help someone else out and make someone else feel better," Froelich says. “She looked like she was ecstatic. She said it was the best time she had in years."
