Thanks to the efforts of some sixth graders in Struthers, Ohio, homeless people in their area will be a little warmer this winter.
The students spent the last month collecting socks to give away, all part of the "Socktober" charity campaign.
They ended up with 3,000 socks that will be donated to local homeless shelters.
The effort, of course, will help many people who really need it, especially this time of year when the weather cools down. It also helped the students see how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others. (WFMJ-TV)
