Several college students went in together and bought a second hand couch. After several months of finding the couch uncomfortable, one student decided to open up the cushions and see what was happening. That's when they found envelopes full of cash. They found more than $40,000 in the couch that they bought for under $100.
One of the many envelopes had a name on it. They ended up tracking the woman down and bringing her the money back. The woman claimed that she didn't "trust" banks and kept her savings in the couch.
