Life can be rough for a shelter dog, but things are really looking up for Monte, a two-year-old terrier mix. He was at HALO Animal Rescue in Phoenix with hundreds of other dogs, but now he’s a Disney star.
Shelter workers noticed this pooch was super friendly and loves to greet people with kisses, so when animal trainers came scouting from Hollywood, he was recommended.
Now he’s starring as Tramp in the live-action remake of “Lady and the Tramp.” The cast of canines in the movie are real-life rescue dogs and Disney reports that all the rescue dogs in the movie found forever homes after production ended.
"Lady and The Tramp" will premiere on November 12 on Disney's new streaming service.
