Florida Homeowner Discovers Jars of Human Tongues In Their House

Meanwhile in Florida...a homeowner discovered jars of human tongues in the house they recently purchased. Investigators were called to the home after a homeowner alerted them. They were having some work done when the construction crew opened a small crawl space between the floorboards. Investigators have determined, due to records, that the property was used for research at a time and was owned by a university professor.

This isn't the first time a home in Gainesville has had human remains inside. In 2002, a University of Florida neurology professor was fired and arrested after police found heads, brains, arms and other body parts preserved in Tupperware containers at his home in Gainesville. Joseph James Warner told detectives he was conducting research at his home “including dissections of human and animal body parts,” according to the Tribune. He was charged with illegal storage and preservation of human remains.
