Speedy Gonzalez is often confused with Speedy Gonzales due to their name, different spelling. One is an icon, the other is stealing checks from metro Atlanta mailboxes. Speedy Gonzalez stole check from a mailbox in Suwanee then made a $3,000 purchase at Home Depot. Gonzalez returned the items for cash. In addition to a warrant, police were able to stop him during a traffic stop. Gonzalez is facing forgery, identity fraud and theft by deception charges.
