Meanwhile in Florida...Mike Kimmel is known as "Python Cowboy" after grabbing the state's newest record, a 17 foot 7 inch, Burmese Python. The python weighed 135 pounds. Kimmel records the majority of his catches and puts them on YouTube. Kimmel plans to share the video of this catch soon.
You might remember earlier this year when Florida held the Python Bowl, allowing residents to capture the largest pythons that they could find. Pythons ruin the ecosystem and are not native to Florida. The population exploded when owners just discarded their pets.
