An “accident” is one of the many words we can use to describe the horrific event that occurred in the city of Sheffield, UK this week. Jaime Quinlan, 12, was unassuming on his trampoline in when he felt “something really weird” in his back. This feeling was in fact a trampoline spring which had shot out of the trampoline, right into poor Jaime’s back. Later at Sheffield’s Children’s Hospital, medical professionals discovered the coil had in fact been lodged a whole TWO INCHES into his back, barely missing Jaime’s spine. Had the coil hit elsewhere, the wound could’ve been fatal.
