Miranda Lambert says one song on her new album reflects her love of 1990s country music. The singer explains that she pays tribute to the era on "Another Sunday in the South" by incorporating '90s song titles into the lyrics, which she admits was a challenge.
Miranda explains that her co-writers on "Another Sunday in the South" -- Jessi Alexander and Ashley Monroe -- share her passion for '90s country. Lambert adds that she felt "a responsibility" to write the song, because she feels the music from 20 years ago is "not celebrated enough."
Platinum also features Miranda's hit "Automatic"as well as the Carrie Underwood duet "Somethin' Bad." Lambert is supporting the project with a performance Monday on NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." On Tuesday she'll make a release day appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America."
