Chris Young and His Cowboy Hat

It's Chris Young Concert Day! Chris Young is kicking off the US leg of his "Raised On Country" tour at Ameris Bank Amphitheater with Chris Janson and Dylan Scott tonight in Alpharetta. As you can see by the pic, Chris and I go WAY back to when he still wore a cowboy hat. In 2006, he was the winner of the television singing competition Nashville Star. Since then, he has racked up 9 #1 singles and 14 top 5's. Check out my podcast chat with Chris to get the inside scoop on tonight's show!

Angie And Reba Through The Years

Today on my show we will Throw Back to 1991 and Boot Scootin' Boogie" which was actually a cover of the original done by Asleep At The Wheel. It was never intended to be a single, but fans found it and became the duo's fourth single release and fourth consecutive number-one single.

Shania Twain's anthem to women Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" came out in 1997. It is always a fan favorite - especially when the guys sings it!

Believe it or not, Garth Brook's 1991 hit "Rodeo" Never went to #1! It peaked at number three on the U.S. country chart but reached number-one on the Canadian country chart

Reba McEntire's Fancy is another cover song. Originally written and recorded by Bobbie Gentry in 1969. It was covered in 1990 by Reba McEntire on her Rumor Has It album.

Finally, Faith Hill was untouchable in 1999! The Way You Love Me was released in February 2000 and spent four weeks at number one on the Billboard Country charts in May 2000 and peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 on December 30, 2000. Worldwide, the song reached number nine in Spain, number 15 in the United Kingdom, and peaked within the top 40 in Australia, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand and Sweden.
