PUT A LID ON IT!
Do you flush the toilet with the lid up or down? You’re gonna put a lid on it after you hear this. Basically, every time you flush the toilet, an “aerosol effect” occurs – with germs, bacteria and other “matter” being sprayed into the air. “You get a good spray out of the toilet area,” says Charles P. Gerba, a professor of microbiology at the University of Arizona. “When droplets come out of the toilet, it looks like the Fourth of July.”
