KRISTEN'S STORY -
YOUNGER DADS HAVE HEALTHIER KIDS
A new study from Stanford University has found that younger dads end up having healthier kids.
Researchers found that babies born to men 45 years old or older are 14 percent more likely to be admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit and 14 percent are more likely to be born prematurely, compared to those whose fathers are between 25 and 34 years old.
And, even worse, fathers 50 or older are 28 percent more likely to have a child needing to be admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit.
JASON'S STORY - WINNER
KINDNESS IS EVERYWHERE
Jason's sister, Kim, has sold almost all of her belongings and now she's traveling the world. She's been to Italy, Greece and now she's in Spain. She was supposed to stay at Blas Jiminez's AirBnB. Keep in mind, he doesn't know a single word of English.
His sister got there a couple days early, so he told her he could blow up and air mattress for her. Kim thanked him and told him that she'd find another AirBnB. She ended up finding one, but when she got there, it smelled like smoke and the pics of the place were completely misleading.
She texted Blas back and asked him if she could still take him up on his offer. When she finally got back to his place, she asked him where the air mattress was. He told Kim in very broken English that she was going to sleep in his bad, and that he was going to sleep on the couch. Kim thanked him again and said no, but he refused to let her sleep on the couch or air mattress.
The next day he would not let her pay him. He said, "Mi casa es su casa!" (My house is your house). Kim started crying at his generosity and Blas just walked over to her and gave her a BIG hug.
There are good people in this world! They are everywhere!
