KRISTEN'S STORY - WINNER

Those negative social media rants are hurting you

It’s a no-brainer that positive posts make people feel good and negative rants make people mad, but you probably had no idea how long the effects of those negative rants last. According to researchers at the University of California-Davis, positive posts last for just a few seconds, but negative rants produce a stream of negativity that goes on for many minutes.

But here’s where it gets interesting
seems those negative rants have a negative effect on the original poster. “It’s not just that this negative chat has a long life,” said study author Seth Frey. “But it has a longer effect on the original speaker. Negative people are really hurting themselves.”

Basically there is such a thing as social media karma. When someone sends out a positive message, it creates good feelings that return to the sender. But when people send out negative or angry messages, it creates negative feelings that ultimately come back to the original poster.

JASON'S STORY -

Flight attendant breastfeeds passenger’s baby midflight when mother runs out of formula...

A Philippine Airlines flight attendant Patrisha Organo, 24, is going viral on social media for going above and beyond the line of duty during a Tuesday flight.

Organo, was on the flight as the final check to be qualified as a Cabin Crew Evaluator.  During the trip, Organo, who has a 1-year-old child, said she heard a baby crying from the cabin.

Organo said she walked down the aisle to the crying baby and asked the mom if she needed assistance. The mother explained that she had run out of formula.  That's when she offered her own milk.

The mother was thrilled by the idea as well - as her child was crying and hungry.

Organo has been praised on social media with people calling her an "angel."

And as a sweet end to her sweet gesture, Yahoo Lifestyle reported that Organo was promoted to Cabin Crew Evaluator on the flight.
