Atlanta Braves make history AGAIN!

Of course my internet would go out on the biggest game night for the Braves 2021 season so far! Friday night, The Braves did something that no other team has done in the century-and-a-half of MLB history!

The Braves 20-1 win over the Pirates Friday night was the eighth time in franchise history that the Braves have scored 20 or more runs in a game and made them first team in MLB history to have 7 home runs and 2 grand slams in a single game.

One of those home runs(Adrianza's grand slam) came off a Pirate non-pitcher who was pitching!

Friday night did something that no other team has done in the century-and-a-half sprawl of MLB history.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 7 home runs (Austin Riley(2) , Dansby Swanson, Ozzie Albie, Marcell Ozuna, Ronald Acuña, Ehire Adrianza
  • 2 Grand slams (Ronald Acuña & Ehire Adrianza)
  • 4 Braves had 3 hits
  • Every position player for the Braves recorded at least one hit

Thanks to MLB - here are all the highlights of this record breaking game on Alumni weekend at Truist Park.
