Georgia native Ray Charles will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame with Grammy-winning duo The Judds in a ceremony in 2022.
Ray Charles was born in Albany, Ga. He lost his sight as a child due to glacoma so he listened to the Grand Ole Opy .
In 1960 he paid tribute to his home state with his hit "Georgia On My Mind" which was the first of his three career No. 1 hits on the BillboardHot 100 and is now th eofficial state song of Georgia!
