Dan + Shay expressed their gratitude in a heartfelt note to their fans as the duo heads into a whirlwind week.

Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney are gearing up for the premiere of The Voice, where they’ll coach for the first time — the smash-hit competition show’s first-ever coaching duo — alongside returning coaches Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper and John Legend. By the end of the week, they’ll kick off their long-awaited headlining tour in support of their latest full-length albums and in the midst of it all, Dan + Shay confirmed they’ve been working on “a secret project” that fans have wanted for more than a decade.

“It’s not lost on us how expensive it is to exist in the world these days, and the fat that so many of y’all decided to spend your hard earned money to buy a ticket to see us play music is truly humbling,” Dan + Shay wrote in a statement posted to their social media pages over the weekend. “Just know that we are more grateful than we could ever put into words. We’ve been camped out since the beginning of the year putting in early mornings, late nights, and everything in between to make sure that the ‘Heartbreak On The Map Tour’ is our best show yet. The setlist will be a mix of new and old, and will account for a whole lot of your requests.

“With the premiere of The Voice on Monday (February 26), tour kicking off on Thursday (February 29), ‘Bigger Houses’ launching at country radio, the making of a secret project y’all have been asking for since December of 2013, and so much more, it’s undoubtedly he busiest time in our band’s history. But before things get crazy this week, we just wanted to pause and say thank you. Thank you for continuing to show us so much love and support. You are the reason we get to do things beyond even our wildest dreams, and we’ll never not acknowledge that. Hope your year is off to a healthy and happy start and we can’t wait to see everyone on the road so soon. 2024 is going to be the best yet.”

Dan + Shay released their latest album, Bigger Houses, in September 2023. The highly-anticipated 12-track album arrived shortly after Smyers and Mooney revealed they nearly quit music after undergoing intense burnout. Now, however, they’re “a million times the closest we’ve ever been.” Bigger Houses includes “Save Me The Trouble,” “Heartbreak On The Map,” “Always Gonna Be,” “We Should Ge Married,” “Neon Houses” and other highlights throughout the track list.

Dan + Shay will kick off their headlining “Heartbreak On The Map Tour” on Thursday evening in Grenville, South Carolina. Spring tour dates include Ben Rector and Hailey WhittersNewly-announced summer tour stops will include Jake Owen and Dylan Marlowe.
