Carrie Underwood posted a video of the moment she wrapped up her festival set during a “massive downpour.”

Underwood was one of dozens of artist to take the stage over the weekend at Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Grammy Award-winning artist said the end of the festival on Sunday night (June 9) “was quite unexpected,” though the weather “made for a night we’ll never forget!”

“We won’t let a little rain stop us! We won’t let a massive downpour stop us, either!” Underwood wrote in her caption on Instagram as she shared a video filmed by photographer and videographer Jeff Johnson on Monday (June 10). The video shows Underwood performing on stage in the pouring rain as the crowd sings along to “Before He Cheats,” one of Underwood’s biggest career hits that appeared on her debut full-length album, Some Hearts, in 2005.

Underwood’s most recent project is Denim & Rhinestones, a 12-track collection that arrived in June 2022. In September 2023, Underwood expanded it with a deluxe edition that included a total of 18 tracks. Denim & Rhinestones included “Ghost Story,” “Hate My Heart,” “Crazy Angels,” “Out Of That Truck” and other highlights. One of the added tracks on the deluxe album is a rendition of “She Don’t Know,” recorded live on Underwood’s headlining “Denim & Rhinestones Tour,” which she performed amid her ongoing Las Vegas residency, REFLECTION. Underwood will return to Vegas for REFLECTION performances in August and October.
