Vernon Barrett Jr. has been charged with child endangering and inducing panic after he put on a clown mask and scared his 6-year-old child.
He scared his daughter so badly that she ran into traffic, and to a stranger's home to beg for help. The people living at the home called 911, then fired a gunshot into the ground in an attempt to scare the clown away.
The child's mother is currently in jail for child endangerment after breaking four of the girl's ribs.
