The New Year is coming in with a big show in the sky.
The first supermoon of 2018 will rise on January 1st. A supermoon is a full moon that appears bigger and brighter than a typical full moon because of its closeness to the Earth.
This one is called the wolf moon. To add a twist, it is going to pair with a January 31st blood moon to make a blue moon. So, that means the one to end the month will be a “blood blue moon.” Unlike the full moon on the 1st, though, it won’t be super.
In case you love all things celestial, February won’t have a full moon and March will have two…making it another full moon!Source: Forbes
