Brodi Willard is a nurse and a mother from Nebraska. Her son's recent flu diagnosis inspired her to post on Facebook and share her family's story.
Willard's son mysteriously developed a severe case of hives. He was very itchy and uncomfortable, but displayed no other symptoms. No fever, cough, runny nose... Nothing. But since his mother couldn't get the hives to go away, she took him to his pediatrician.
His doctor tested him for the flu — and it came back positive for Influenza B!
Willard wanted to share this story with the world, since it’s so important to recognize all the different flu symptoms, and this one is pretty unusual.
