United Airlines Mistakenly Sends Dog to Japan Instead of Kansas City

Moving across the country can be hugely stressful for anyone, but it's been a nightmare for one family thanks to United Airlines.

When a family moving from Oregon to Kansas went to pick up their 10-year-old German Shepherd, Irgo, at a United cargo facility after their flight, they were instead met by a Great Dane.

They were informed that there was a mixup and Irgo had been mistakenly shipped to Japan instead!

According to news reports, the dog had no food or water for his 16.5 trip to Japan.

This is now the second major incident involving animal welfare and United this week. Earlier in the week, a 10-month-old French bulldog puppy died after a flight attendant forced the owners to put the dog in the overhead bin during the flight.
