Brantley Gilbert has been clean and sober for five years and he’ll never forget the moment he decided he needed to get help for his addiction. Brantley says he was celebrating some sort of milestone for a song when he went to his bus and realized that even though he was partying and celebrating he “never actually took it in.”
He’s not sure why the thought came to him just then, but he never came out to return to the party and after about two hours he called his manager to tell him he needed time in his schedule “to make space for something.”
