Eric Church’s Holdin’ My Own concert in Calgary over the weekend was certainly a unique one. In case you missed it, snowy weather became a problem for the show at the Scotiabank Saddledome, because with too much snow on the roof Church’s team couldn’t set up his regular stage.
While for some artists this would be an understandable reason to cancel the show, Eric decided to go on with it, although it was a different show than originally planned. Eric still performed his three hours set, but was alone for most of it, with only a single spotlight shining on him. Church’s band did join him for at least two songs, “Cold One” and “Record Year.”
Of course, Eric has performed solo shows like this before. Back in 2015 after his band became ill he did an entire show in Salt Lake City, Utah solo rather than cancel.
