Sara Evans has started her own label, Born to Fly Records, and will release her new studio album on it, and now we know a little bit more about that record. Sara tells People magazine that the record, her eighth studio album, will be titled Words, and will drop July 21st.
“I’ve always recorded music that I believed in and that I loved, but with Words I finally had 100 percent control over every decision,” Sara says. “We went into the song search with the mindset of choosing the most amazing songs, no matter what.”
The album features songs written by 14 female songwriters, including Ashley Monroe, Caitlyn Smith and Hillary Scott. It also features her 14-year-old daughter Olivia on background vocals. “I absolutely loved having Olivia sing on the album,” she says. “I tried to not be a stage mom and give her too much advice and let her find her own vibe and sound.
