Kelsea Ballerini Takes A Break From Twitter

The "Legends" singer announced the big break over the weekend in a series of tweets that read...

"Can't believe I'm having to post this, but my timeline is FILLED with people being so mean to each other. I love my fans so so much, and am sad to see the hate in these comments to each other. It's not what I stand for, I just want to make music and people happy. That's it. Gonna take a little break from Twitter and refocus on the music."

This isn't the first time Kelsea has stepped away from the world of social media, but it might be the first time she used this reasoning to do so. She took a brief hiatus while she was working on her second album and also took a break the week before releasing her new single, "Legends."

Kelsea Ballerini talks about being real on social media...

“I made a deal with myself when I signed my record deal and when I knew I was going to get to be an artist to be very open on socials… And post the great stuff, but also post no-makeup, zit on my face, picking up dog poop in the morning. I really wanted to make sure that I presented myself as myself.”

The Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines also took a break from Twitter a few days ago.
