Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini host CMA Fest 2017 tonight on ABC. The show will feature three hours of highlights from this year's CMA Music Festival in Nashville.
The special includes performances by Sam Hunt, Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell, Old Dominion, Kelsea Ballerini, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Dustin Lynch, Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Dan and Shay, Brett Eldredge, Rascal Flatts, Brett Young, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, Brothers Osborne and Chris Young.
Thomas Rhett says hosting CMA Fest for the second time has gone smoother.
"I thought this year I have been more of a smoother reader, more energy. Started to learn how to host something I guess. And Kelsea has done some hosting gigs too, so I kind of feel like us together kind of made for a really great combination."
Kelsea Ballerini is excited about hosting CMA Fest with her friend, Thomas Rhett.
"I feel like we're the same person, he's just a boy. And so we became such good friends and just bonded over so much. And it's really nice just to be able to co-host with someone you're comfortable with. You get to have this synergy together that's just kind of effortless."
This is Thomas's second year hosting and Kelsea's first. Last year Thomas hosted with Brett Eldredge. Maybe Kelsea and Thomas will be perennial hosts like Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
CMA Fest 2017 airs tonight at 8 p.m.[ET] on ABC.
