Kenny Chesney wants to remind fans that help is still needed to rebuild the U.S. and British Virgin Islands after the devastating hurricanes.
He says the people living on those islands are in a dire state. “Getting supplies in is hard. Finding places for workers to stay is even harder now that Hurricane Maria has done so much damage to St. Croix. Because it’s so hard to get even the basic supplies in, let alone the news media, people really aren’t seeing how devastating these hurricanes have been.”
Kenny has flown in food, water, medical supplies, generators, tools, clothes, tarps and camping equipment. He has also taken many people and their pets off the islands to the mainland in an attempt to lessen the strain on supplies.
Contributions are being accepted at Love for Love City, which is the only relief organization affiliated with Kenny.
