While Sugarland’s new single is titled “Still the Same” a lot of things have change in the years they were on hiatus pursuing other projects.
Jennifer Nettles notes that over the past six years they’ve gained, “experience growing and evolving as artists and as writers,” and they are putting some of the things they learned to good use with their new music.
For example, Kristian Bush was producing records during their break, and has gotten used to all the technological changes that come with making music, which Jennifer notes is “something new for Sugarland to use.”
Plus, Jennifer’s personal life changed, which is different for the duo, because, as she points out, “Kristian doesn’t know me as a mother.”
