LANCO Is Number One

LANCO certainly has reason to celebrate. The band’s full-length debut album, Hallelujah Nights, debuts on top the Billboard Top Country Album chart this week, moving 19,000 equivalent album units in its first week, 13,000 of which were in traditional album sales.

It’s a surreal feeling for us that the wait is over and our first record is out,” frontman Brandon Lancaster tells Billboard.

“We’ve always believed in the power of country music storytelling. We aimed to do that on every track of ‘Hallelujah Nights.’ Our stories have different people, different names, different places, but they all have the same emotions attached to them. It’s not fantasy-related. To me, this album is about glorifying the reality of life.”

Elsewhere on the chart…

  • Russell Dickerson’s “Yours” is spending its second week on top the Country Airplay chart.
  • Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha’s “Meant To Be” is spending its ninth week on top the Hot Country Songs chart.
  • Thomas Rhett’s “Marry Me” moves to number nine on the Country Airplay chart, making it his 11th country airplay Top Ten
