SAM HUNT: Isn't Sure Where His Career Is Heading

Even though he's set to release "Downtown's Dead" -- his first single in more than a year -- and will appear on some of Luke Bryan's stadium shows, Sam Hunt says he doesn't know where his career is heading. Some fear that he’s losing interest in music.

Sam says, “I’ve grown up a little bit since my first record, and I feel my first record was inspired by an era of my life that really left with something to say and something to sing about. And at this point…I’ve gotten into some other things outside of music that I really enjoy. Just other interests of mine that have nothing to do with music.”

But that doesn't mean he's done with music. He says he's been experimenting with some ideas, but just hasn't found anything he wants to release. He hopes to find some inspiration on the road this summer.

Sam always seemed reluctant about stardom.

He hasn't released a full album since 2014's Montevallo. That's a long time not to have a record out.

He got married last year. That alone should provide material to write about.
