Carrie Underwood is hoping fans are connecting with her latest single “Cry Pretty.” She says she wants fans to be “drawn into” the tune, right from the first words, “I’m Sorry,” explaining, “I want people to be like, ‘Well, why are you sorry?’ and then kind of follow the rest of the musical journey that we go on.”
She says she expects many fans can relate to the song, and hopes that once the song ends they, “just feel like they’ve kind of gotten a little bit of an emotional release just by listening to the song.”
“Cry Pretty” is the title track of Carrie’s upcoming album, which is set to drop September 14th
