Florida Georgia Line is excited about the new music they’re working on for their next album, including their latest single, “Simple,” but if they had to pick one song from their vast catalog that means the most to them, it would probably be “Meant to Be,” which just spent its record-setting 40th week on top of the Hot Country Songs chart (and shows no signs of budging from that spot). Tyler Hubbard says, “I think that song’s just continued to have new life and teach us new things. And with each step of the way and each kind of, chapter of life, learning how to look at the world that way and look at life that way and just kind of let go of some control and just let things happen.”
In a world where things don’t always work out the way we think they should or the way we want them to, the concept of “if it’s meant to be, it’ll be,” says Tyler, “I think that’s just something that we’ve continued to be reminded of, you know, with every step of the way with this song and every bit of success that this song has had we’re kind of reminded of that, and then it’s cool to kind of see the world be reminded of that as well, you know, and really connect with that.”
With FGL’s song “Simple” sitting in the top ten on the charts, it looks like the latest thing that’s meant to be for them is another hit song.
