Thomas Rhett hits the road on his “Very Hot Summer Tour” tomorrow, and this time he’s bringing his dad along with him. Thomas’ father Rhett Akins is one of the special guests on the tour, and Thomas says he’s just glad to have him out there. Rhett is a country song writing powerhouse. He's got 28 number one singles and 35 Top 40 hits.
“I think there’s a lot of people that are gonna come to the concert to see my dad, like a bunch of people that loved him in the 90s,” Thomas shares, adding fans will “be blown away by how many hits he’s written in this genre.”
The tour also features Russell Dickerson and Dustin Lynch, which Thomas thinks makes it a “well-rounded tour.” He adds, “I think people are going to walk away with a lot of different kind of vibes from the show.”
