New American Idol champ Laine Hardy has his work cut out for him.
Luke Bryan says the hard work has just begun for all of the Idol contestants -- especially the Top 10 finalists.
"You have to earn every fan every night. You know, Idol is a great platform, a great springboard for these kids. If you don't go capitalize on it--that's the main thing there's no way around having to go earn it at some point."
Some of the contestants who did not win on the show went on to have thriving careers.
Jennifer Hudson, Kellie Pickler and Adam Lambert didn't win and have had more success than the winners of those seasons.
