Bachelor Nation, Meet Your New Host...

Ratings for The Bachelor and its spin-off's haven't been stellar since Chris Harrison was fired.

Everything is coming up roses for former NFL quarterback Jesse Palmer. He's just been named the new host of The Bachelor, replacing fan favorite-Chris Harrison.

I think we can all agree that anybody is better than former contestants guest-hosting. Many fans of the show think it's been a little rough to watch this past season.

Jesse is no rookie on The Bachelor playing field. He was The Bachelor in Season 5, back in 2004.

If you're wondering how he got the gig, it probably all has to do with his relationship with The Walt Disney Company, which owns ABC. They also own ESPN where he has been a sports commentator. He was a special contributor on ABC's Good Morning America. Most recently, he hosted the summer series The Ultimate Surfer. He also hosted The Proposal in 2018, another reality series created by The Bachelor head honcho Mike Fleiss.

Palmer says, "I am humbled by the opportunity to return to the show as host this season to offer the newest Bachelor advice gained from firsthand experience and I am grateful to play a small part in his journey.”
