Recent news broke of Steve Harvey firing all his Chicago staff as he moves his show to L.A. Now a memo has leaked that is very strongly worded to his staff so they so not bother him.
Robert Feder wrote in his Chicago media blog some alleged excerpts from the egotistical letter to staff of the Harvey Show.
Here are a few quotes from the memo:
There will be no meetings in my dressing room. No stopping by or popping in. NO ONE.
Do not approach me while I’m in the makeup chair unless I ask to speak with you directly.
I promise you I will not entertain you in the hallway, and do not attempt to walk with me.
If you’re reading this, yes, I mean you.
I'm a bit shocked that he'd be this rude to his staff, but I sort of get how hallway convos and being ambushed about things, could throw him out of the "zone". I do a daily show too and there is definitely a mind-set that you have to maintain and if the concentration gets broken, it's sometimes hard to get back in the moment. He seems like a very giving and genuinely nice guy though.
Harvey said in the memo he was doing business like this because, "It is for the good of my personal life and enjoyment."
Variety wouldn't name their source of the leaked memo, but many are thinking it was a jaded employee who was fired.
