Several news sources including TMZ are reporting that Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington died today of an apparent suicide.
L.A. County law enforcement found him hanging in his private residence in Palos Verdes Estates. He was 41 and let behind his wife and 6 kids.
Bennington had battled alcohol and drug addictions and reportedly struggled with demons from being molested in his youth, according to the TMZ report.
The Linkin park album "Meteroa" was the most successful alternative albums in history.
For me, Linkin Park is one of my favorite bands ever. I've been to several of their shows and loved them since the beginning. My heart is heavy seeing this news today.
This may be TMI, but he feels like apart of my world, in a sense. After a Linkin Park show here in Atlanta (one of the best shows I've ever been to), my wife and I believe that's when our first son was conceived. It was a good night all the way around is what I'm saying.
RIP Chester! Music definitely has a giant hole left in it now!
