Terrified people in Henry Country took to social media this morning when they saw a massive tiger roaming around their neighborhood.
Police and wildlife experts were called in to try and capture the big cat near I-75 at Jodeco Rd. this morning.
Unfortunately, the tiger attacked a pet dog and threatened close-by neighborhoods so police had to put it down according to the Atlanta Journal - Constitution. The tiger was also “in close proximity to a school bus route in a densely populated area", Police Capt. joey Smith said.
Police are now trying to figure out who the owner of the beast was and may file charges for negligence.
Anyone with information is asked to call Henry County police at 770-288-8200 or Henry County Animal Control at 770-288-7387. Tipsters can also call the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
