Woman Riding For AIDS Cure Makes Her Way Through GA

I just received a random call from a woman who is currently riding through Georgia on her bike in order to raise money for AIDS research.

According to her website, UlisJourney.com, Uli Schackmann, the one-woman crusader is riding from Anchorage, Alaska to Key West, Florida will arrive in Ft Lauderdale to initiate her journey with a “spiritual blessing” at the Metaphysical Chapel of South Florida for herself, her bike, and her traveling canine companion.

She told me she's the entire journey is about 6,000 miles and she's getting closer to reaching her goal. She just landed in Savannah, GA. She was held up a bit by Hurricane Irma's path, but didn't let it stop her.

You can help her cause and donate at CrowdRise.org/UlisJourney

What an amazing feat for this lady and great cause. I get winded riding my bike to the end of the neighborhood, so major props to her!
