Georgia High School Crowns Special Needs Student Homecoming Queen

With all the negative news and craziness we read about these days, it's always good to hear a story about love and amazing acts of human kindness. Even more so when it's the younger generation doing it.

Students at Veterans High School in Kathleen, GA just crowned special needs student Hannah Shepard as Homecoming Queen. Her friends told 11Alive, "She’s an awesome human being and she just fills everyone with joy who’s around her and she just makes everything better."(11Alive News)


The joy on her face when they called her name almost brought me to tears. What an amazing story and much love to the students of Veterans High School. To recognize this girls heart and love for her fellow students, and then give her a crown to show her your appreciation is beyond awesome!
