Jake Owen was scared for his life for what he said was "7-10 mins of rapid gunfire" during the Route 91 mass shooting in Las Vegas, but he's making plans already to go back.
Owen was on stage watching Jason Aldean with a few friends when gun fire started to ring out. He said it was "chaos" as people ran everywhere to take cover and find a safe place. The mass shooting left 58 dead and more than 500 injured. The largest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
Owen told CBS News, “I think it’s our duty as entertainers out here in the world to stand up for this sort of thing. They can’t keep us down. We’re not going to live in fear, not going to continue to do this, because I think part of being entertainers is bringing happiness to people.”
He said he's grateful to be home with his 4-year-old daughter Pearl, but has vowed to return to Vegas to help out the victims families.
