Moron Monday's are a day we highlight the not so bright in society. Most of the time it's criminals or horrible parents, but today I've actually got to throw an acquaintance of my wife under the bus. We'll say she was having a #MoronMoment when she sent selfies to the car insurance company.
Alyssa Stringfellow worked with my wife for a bit, now they are just FB friends, but her latest post had me in tears. In an effort to save money, she asked her Grandmother to add her to her car insurance. That's when the agent asked for her "driver’s license number, my date of birth, and a picture straight on and a picture taken from each side."
Alyssa emailed him just what he asked for. That's when she received a reply:
“Hi Alyssa,
I am going to need pictures like you just took, except it needs to be of your vehicle. :)”
She wrote in her post, "As you can see, I didn’t send pictures of my car...I sent him pictures of myself🙃"
To make things worse he MeeMaw was even blown away by her brain flub. "I also had texts from my Memaw saying 'Alyssa Rachael, did you send him pictures of YOURSELF!? It was supposed to be of your car!'”
LOL LOL I can't with this! Still makes me laugh! I had to add her to the Moron Monday list. Not to be mean, just cause she even made fun of herself writing, "Needless to say, I was ridiculously embarrassed, and everyone at work had a good laugh at my obvious misinterpretation... But, you know what they say, you either have book smarts or street smarts, and I definitely do not have the latter!😂😩🙈🤷🏼"
