Ever Wonder How A Gator Sleeps In The Winter?

The recent cold fronts rolling through the east coast has wildlife doing things you don't see very often. Alligators in North Carolina are experiencing freezing swamps so they go into a hibernation of sorts and this is how they sleep.

A picture going viral show their snouts perched above the water and almost frozen in place. This is how they breathe and sleep while the water is frozen over.
