Proof Dan & Shay Can Sing The Dictionary And Own It

Dan and Shay are having the greatest year of their life, with their latest album and massive crossover hits, "Tequila", "Speechless", and "All To Myself". They talk about the awards that keep flowing in, new baby that's on the way and we had a little surprise. Plus, Shay proves he can sing the Dictionary and make it sound amazing!

Otis talked about all the accolades this year that have been pouring in for the biggest breakout group in country this year. They've had #1's before and some success before this album, but by far they agreed this has been "the best year ever". They where hyped to be in Atlanta on the "Can't Say I Ain't Country Tour" calling it the "craziest show of the whole tour" and they smashed it.

3 CMA nominations top the year for them, as they've already received several ACM's, CMT's and a Grammy award. "We're so thankful to able to be recognized by our peers and some of them are fan voted," Shay told Otis. "It's cool man, it's crazy!"

Otis also shared with them about a pretty embarrassing moment with both their wives. At a small private show, after singing Otis sang his lungs out in the crowd, that's when both the guys shouted out their wives in the crowd.... WHO WHERE STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO HIM! #Awkward Dan laughed "They loved it man. That was probably the best show they've been to of ours".

Being one of the (if not THE) greatest vocalists in Nashville, Otis wanted to try a little something with Shay and prove the phrase "I could listen to you sing the dictionary". So, Shay literally sang the dictionary definition of Country Music and jokingly said "This is gonna be our next single". Proof this man can sing ANYTHING and kill it!

To wrap up, we had a surprise gift for the new baby on the way, as it was recently announced Shay's wife is pregnant and his second son is coming soon. We also gave the same one to Tyler of FGL for Luca and couldn't forget the dog toy for Brian's fur baby.

Otis was born and raised in a small town in Morton, IL between two pumpkin patches. It’s the Pumpkin Capitol of the World, so there’s that. He considers Charlotte, NC his hometown, after spending 10 years there doing radio and meeting his wife... Read more
