Chase Rice Was "Pissed" Bachelor Producers Put Him In Awkward Position

ACM: Stories, Songs & Stars: A Songwriter's Event Benefiting ACM Lifting Lives - Show

Chase Rice was featured on The Bachelor last night. They set up a concert where Peter and his date danced and kissed while he sang. The problem was it was Chase's ex-girlfriend.

Rice was not happy with The Bachelor producers made him apart of the drama this season.

The country star appeared on Monday's episode of the popular ABC dating show. He was the featured artists to sing for the one-on-one date with Peter Weber. It was immediate awkward because the girl in the date, Victoria, was his ex.

"I was pissed at first," Rice said in a previous radio interview, "and then I was like, ‘I gotta figure out a way to turn this positive for myself, mainly because I had no desire to be a part of any reality TV show. I was just going on there to promote 'Lonely Who You Are,' promote my music. And that was it."

Tuesday morning he told The Bobby Bones Show, he's not "mad at anybody." He even adds, "I'm pretty happy with it."

"At the end of the day, if it takes people to my music, takes people to my new album, then I'm not going to complain about that," Rice tells Bobby Bones.

The country singer also set the record straight, saying that his new record is not about Fuller who he said he met once in Charlotte. Although the album is not about Fuller, it is about his last girlfriend who he says he dated on and off the last two years or so.

"It was the real deal," he says of his ex-girlfriend. "We had a great relationship, great friendship and that's where you get a song like 'Everywhere.' You start to see her everywhere you go." He adds, "I miss her sometimes still for sure, she was a great one."

Rice dropped the surprise project,The Album Part I,on Friday (January 24). "Messy" and "Forever To Go" are two highlight tracks from the record in addition to "Lonely If You Are."
