Toilet paper is scarce right now in many stores because of the Coronavirus scare, and that's got some people taking advantage of the system. These people where hawking 12 rolls for $40 on side of the road.
Any time there is a crisis or problem, there are always people looking to take advantage of the situation. Medical masks have been selling on eBay and Amazon for hundreds of dollars, Hand sanitizer going for over $400 and toilet paper is now being hawked on the side of the road for $40 a package.
First off, why do you need so much toilet paper? I get you are worried about being quarantined but nothing else is being hoarded as fast. Milk? Bread? Canned food? that makes more sense to me.
These toilet paper pirates seen on the side of the road by my friend Veronica Ratzburg, are part of the reason no one can wipe their booties in Taylorsville, NC. They bought out the store and now they're looking to cash in. Many stores have started to ration their supplies because of this.
